Recipes

I consider myself a decent cook but by no means do I have a list of recipes of my own creation. Most of the dishes I make have either come straight from a recipe I found somewhere or they’re adapted for my liking. Occasionally, I’ll whip up something on the fly that comes from an idea I’ve had but I don’t ever put anything on paper. About half the time, my creations turn out delicious and the other half they’re, well, less than amazing and the only person who’ll gobble them down is my sweet husband. I’m lucky he’ll eat just about anything I put in front of him. Bless his heart!

I don’t know about you but I have an extremely picky child, so it’s tough to be sure she’s getting enough nutrients and let’s be honest, most kids probably don’t but I suppose that’s why we have supplements. My oldest is slowly developing a more mature palette, so she’ll eat a few veggies but my youngest still acts like I’ve ruined her entire day when I put them on her plate. Little turkey! I do try my best to incorporate them into a main dish whenever possible. I just have to be stealthy about it if I want her to eat them.

Still, my husband and I love spicy food, vegetables and trying new things, so a lot of the recipes I post here may not necessarily be kid-friendly but hey, it can’t all be about the kids, right?? I spend a lot of time perusing different sites for recipes that sound scrumptious and are relatively easy to make but I’m also posting many of the tried-and-true recipes my family loves. I’d love to know about your beloved recipes, so go ahead and message me to share away!

I’m Jennifer

I’m a married mom of two girls, a nature-loving adventure-seeker, an extroverted introvert, a serial over-thinker, and a sucker for all things food, fashion, home and furbabies. Motherhood to me is equally messy and beautiful and I’m here for all of it. I always hope to navigate this life with a little grace but when I fall short, I always have my friends, inappropriate humor, wine, and my eternally supportive husband to get me through the tough stuff! Most importantly, I’m a flawed human who’s forever committed to personal growth while practicing gratitude for this crazy/beautiful life I live.
